ANTRAIGUES-SUR
VOLANE : 472 m.
"Village full of character " perched on a rocky spur
overlooking the Volane and Bise valleys.as well as
the Mas river. Lava flow. Picturesque alleyways.

AIZAC : 600 m. 11th c romanesque church.
Square towers of the "château de fougerolles".
Between the Bezorgues and the Volane valleys you can
find a mineral water spring. At the top of the Aizac
pass (Col d'Aizac), you have a fine view over the 2
valleys and the remote Ventoux and Tanargue mounts.
"La coupe d'Aizac" volcano.808 m.
Leisure strolls in the shadow of the chestnut groves
and sunny, sheltered walking routes even in winter.
LAVIOLLE : 700 m. Hillside village built
on terraces and overlooking the Volane Gorges. It
hosts a 19th c Neo gothic Church
MEZILHAC : 1 150 m. Viewing table and
magnificent extensive view over the Mont-Blanc, the
Mont-Gerbier-de-Jonc and the Mont Mézenc. 17th c
church of Sardige and romanesque church with an arch
bell tower.

LACHAMP-RAPHAEL : 1 329 m. The highest
village in Ardèche. Church with a nice arcative
steeple. Houses and farmhouses with "Lauzes" (slate)
and "Chaume" (thatch) rooves. L'Areilladou ski
resort.

LABASTIDE-SUR-BESORGUES
: 650 m. Small village in the medium mountains
surrounded by chestnut trees. 19th c church. Near
the village of Freyssenet, La Pissarelle waterfall
which is signposted on the D 243. The sightseeing
route of la Forêt de Cuze: Shortly after leaving the
small village of Freyssenet, you turn rightwards and
drive uphill in the mountain through a very
contrasted landscape. Grandiose view over the valley.
Magnificent Cuze forest. Fir groves. Cross country
skiing zone of le Bois de Cuze (nordic zone of le
Bois de Cuze).
JUVINAS : 650 m. Small village
clinging to the wooded slopes of the mountain. A
trail crossing the nice hamlet of the Champeaux will
lead you to the summit where a nice view can be
admired. Ste Marguerite chapel. In the valley, you
will find la Besorgues river.
ASPERJOC
: 299 m. Between the Besorgues and the Volane
valleys, you can find the hamlet of Thieure with its
communal oven, its 17th c church and its medieval
bridge.
Mineral water springs. Here you can find one of the
last still working spinning mills in France for
natural silk which can be visited by prior
arrangement. Lava flow.
