The Cévenne Ardéchoise
A very vast region where you can discover the upper
Valley of the Ardèche as well as the Lignon, the
Besorgues and the Beaume-Drobie valleys and the
Chassezac Gorges.
The villages Ste Marguerite Lafigère and Laval d'Aurelle
are located nearby the "Parc national des Cévennes"
(national park of the Cévennes).
Bordering the Gard and Lozère departments, its
Cévennes typical climate and vegetation will attract
you. The chestnut tree is very important here and
the terraces -dry stone walls built in order to hold
back the earth for hillside cultivation- show you
the hard work of our elders.
