La Montagne Ardéchoise

The Ardèche mountains –1 200 m. to
1 500 m.- cover a large area from forest (firs and
beeches) to vast grasslands.
Here you can see herds of bovines and horses,
meadows carpeted with daffodils and narcissusses and
typical farmhouses with their rooves made of
"Genêts" (broom) and "Lauzes"(slate).
You can follow the route to the lakes –Issarlès,
Coucouron, Saint Martial- and to the mounts –the
"Mont Gerbier de Jonc" where the Loire have its
source and the "Mont Mézenc"-. Also to be seen is
the Ray Pic waterfall.
You will be offered several kind of accomodation and
catering to stay there and let yourself go on
sampling our local products –pork cooked meat,
cheeses, bilberries…-.
You can do a wide range of outdoor activities in all
seasons – Hiking, mountain biking, angling, horse
riding and even skiing and snowshoeing…
