LANARCE :
1 185 m. Peyrebeille inn: Also called “Red Inn” because of the crimes committed by the owners from 1807 to 1833 which have inspired the film “L’auberge rouge” with Fernandel. 12th c romanesque style church typical of the Vivarais with its lantern tower. The village is encompassed with fir tree forest, pastures, rivers –the Espezonnette is the France second river for trout fishing.
 

ISSANLAS : 1180 m. St Clair Chapel. Church and presbytery, nice Gothic steeple. Rural village, pine tree and fir tree forest -Mushrooms - Trout and clayfish fishing.

COUCOURON : 1139 m. 11th c Church with a romanesque façade and an arch bell tower. The Montlaur tower. Coucouron lake. Dairy which can be visited. "Musée de l'outillage et des techniques traditionnelles de la taille de pierre" –Museum of tools and traditional technique of stone cutting.

Le lac d'IssarlèsLACHAPELLE GRAILLOUSE : 1120 m. Exceptional view over the mountains and the Lac d'Issarlès.15th c church with its portal and arch bell tower. Fortified house at Villeneuve. Wild mushrooms and berries picking.

LAC D'ISSARLES : 997 m. Set in an extinct volcano, 5 km of circumference and an area of 91 acres. With its 138 m, it is one of the deepest lake in France. A path allows you to walk around the lake. Troglodytic caves. "Le Cherchemuse" -extinct volcano. Belvedere over the Gage and the Loire.
