BORNE
: 860 m. to 1 511 m. Ruins of a 12th c
medieval donjon towering the river La Borne - La
Borne Gorges (Canyoning).
Vestiges of the Cistercian abbey of the Chambons de
Borne. 19th c church.
State forest of the Chambons.
The Tanargue Massif -1, 511 mètres- natural rampart
between the Cévennes and the mountain.
Downhill and cross-country, skiing at La Croix de
Bauzon ski resort. Nature trail.
SAINT-ÉTIENNE
DE-LUGDARES : 1033 m. In the canton chief
town all facilities are catered. Gothic church with
a 19th c façade in polychrome stones. Masméjean
small church. Roman bridge.
LAVILLATTE
: 1140 m. Village set in the mountain. Church with
an arch bell tower and wonderful panoramic view over
the Cévennes and the Mont Lozère. Roman way. It was
the former seat of the Templiers order. Trout
fishing.
LESPERON
: 1080 m. The village borders 3 departements: The
Lozère, the Haute-Loire and the Ardèche. 12th c
church with an arch bell tower.
