PRIVAS
: 316 m. Préfecture of the Ardèche. It is the
Capital of "Marron Glacé" since 1882. In the 16th
century, it was a Huguenot capital. The 15th c tower
Diane de Poitier is to be seen. The Récollets
cloister houses the "Musée de la terre ardéchoise" (Museum
of the Ardèche). Louis XIII bridge. Mansions. The
Montoulon site.

COUX : 230 m. Medieval village overlooking the river
Ouvèze. Lubilhac 11th c church. Listed bridge of the
17th c. Gardens and terraces. Relaxation area and
fitness trail. Former spinning mills, troglodytic
caves of La Jaubernie -private property- former
quarry interesting for its historic past related to
the wars of religion.
LYAS : 575 m. 12th c Liviers Castle –private
property- . 19th c church. Rocher de la sorcière
(the witch rock). Picturesque hamlet of the "petit
tournon". La neuve man made lake.
PRANLES : 600 m. Eglise romane du XIIème S. dont la
partie centrale est inscrite à l'inventaire des
Monuments Historiques. A voir : les chapiteaux et le
chœur. La maison de Pierre et Marie Durand (Musée du
Vivarais protestant classé Monument Historique). Le
Moulin de Mandy (Visite guidée sur rendez-vous).

which is on the list of historic monument. Its
capital and choir are worth seeing. House of Pierre

SAINT-MICHEL DE-BOULOGNE
:
450 m. Ruins of a Castle dating back to the 14th
-15th c and listed as a Historic Monument. Beautiful
feudal construction -under restoration-. All that
now remains are towers, parts of the main body, a
fragment of the 12th c donjon and a nice portal of
the 17th c. 12th c romanesque chapel and 19th c
church.
